A 4 yard skip can be used for small to medium domestic waste clearance and DIY jobs. It is likely to be a good size for taking the waste generated when you have a big clear out at home, tackle an overgrown garden or need to get rid of your old kitchen or bathroom fixtures and fittings prior to a refit.

Popularly known as a small builders skip, a 6 yard skip is ideal for small commercial and construction projects – its size means that it can be fully loaded with heavy items such as bricks, soil and rubble without causing any weight issues. It’s also a popular choice for larger domestic waste jobs.

Probably the most popular size in our range, the 8 yard skip – also known as a builders skip – is the largest size that can be placed on a public highway. It’s ideal for household clearances, industrial waste and, as the name suggests, is commonly used for disposing of building materials, although it should not be completely filled with heavy building waste.

The 10 yard skip is a good size for large household clearances and renovations or major garden clearances, but cannot be placed on a road, so you’ll need space for it on your property. That makes it more suited to many commercial, construction and industrial applications, such as an office or retail refit.

Another of the more popular skips in the range, the 12 yard skip can be used for disposing of some bulky items, making it ideal for a lot of commercial and industrial applications. Full household and office clearances are also possible as long as you have somewhere to keep it off the road.

When it comes to light construction projects, large commercial and industrial renovation jobs, or even an extra large household or garden clearance, a 14 yard skip has the capacity to cope. As with all our larger skip sizes, it cannot be kept on the road and should not be filled with heavy waste.
